Plot:
Pearls & Pelisses, a popular magazine among Ladies, has declared Nicholas St. John “a paragon of manhood” and one of the most eligible man available.
The magazine also offers a set of rules on landing a lord to help the ladies out.
Hordes of women have been chasing him ever since and the situation is driving him nuts.
When a friend asks him to locate his runaway sister, he takes the chance to escape all those women’s “eageress” and ends up in a remote and peculiar estate.
Lady Isabel Townsend has heard of Nicholas St. John but her situation is far too difficult to take a silly magazine seriously.
And yet…
Lord St. John ends up right in front of her, so close to discover her secrets and win her heart.
Personal Thoughts:
Very good plot and fun banters between the MC.
The story is entertaining and sweet but the second half of it is a bit dragged.
The MC’s chemistry was good but sex/intimate scenes are a bit OTT…
I mean, he kisses her “deeper than ever before” once more he’ll end up going through her!
Lady Isabel Townsend is strong and independent, a very brave and likable heroine.
Lord Nicholas St. John is not a manwhore but he’s prone to fall for “women in need” that end up betraying him and the heroine, supposedly, is the exception.
I didn’t really love the concept of him indiscriminately falling for “damsels in distress” but overall I really enjoyed them falling in love with each other.
