Plot:
Dr. Sarah Jacobs is a Criminal psychologist and a member of L.O.S.T. (Last Option Search Team).
Her father is a convicted serial killer that trained her to become just like him.
She has always feared the part of her that learned her father’s lessons well but that training is what allows her to enter sick minds capable of horrible things.
She’s not her father.
Her job is to catch people like him and save lives even if she has a heavy burden to carry because of it.
Jax Fontaine is not exactly a good guy.
From nothing he raised himself to the “top of the chain”, people in the underworld of New Orleans fear him and respect him.
Surrounded by danger, violence and death, two very different people discover they’re not that different after all.

Another thrilling story, steamy and complex, that held my attention all the way through.
Sarah and Jax find a connection that goes way beyond the initial sexual attraction while they uncover secrets from both of their pasts.
I loved them as a couple, they’re perfectly matched.
“Do you know what I saw when I looked in your eyes?” he whispered into her ear.
Sarah shook her head.
“You were hurting. Trying to hide your pain, but I could still see it. I looked at you and thought—I never want her to hurt again.”“You know we’d be dynamite together. We touch, and I pretty much implode.”
Her whole body was trembling, but Sarah locked her knees. “That kind of desire is dangerous.”
“Aw, pretty Sarah, that kind of desire is addictive.”
I Enjoyed it a bit less than the previous book but it still was a great read that held me on the edge of my seat.
As I said for the previous book, the story feels like a longer and adult version of a Criminal Minds’s episode.
