Personal Thoughts:
Good word building and potentially interesting story BUT this book is so long and repetitive I couldn’t wait for it to end!
Why didn’t I just DNF it?
I enjoy listening to audiobooks while working on creative projects and this was the only audiobook in my library that I didn’t want to drop after the first 10 minutes.
The plot has potential but I had lots of issue with it:
* long winded narration.
* repetitive dialogues about the same topics over and over:
– Ellysetta is a wood’s carver daughter how will she become a worthy queen?
– Will she made a fool of herself on every official occasion?
– He went crazy when “the mate of his heart” was killed thousands of years ago, how can he love Elly more than her?
* lack of action, plot becomes boring
* heroine with too many insecurities
I can’t believe a listened to a 14?? hours long audiobook and the story has barely begun.
The majority of the plot is about details on the heroine’s every day life and situation after the hero claims she’s his soul mate and there’s very little action.
There’re so many uneventful and boring chapters!
Why wasting so many pages when the story could’ve been narrated in half of this book’s length?
