Plot:
Makenna James is not having the best of days and things don’t get much better when she finds herself trapped in a pitch-black elevator with a stranger.
Caden Grayson notices the redhead rushing toward the elevator but he doesn’t have time to properly see her face because power fails and the elevator gets stuck.
Caden doesn’t like enclosed spaces but he didn’t expect an elevator malfuntion would leave him trapped 4 hours…how will he keep the panic at bay?
Two very different people form a deep bond in an unlucky circumstances but…what will happen when power is turned back on?

I really enjoyed this novella.
I have to say though, I usually avoid them because they often feel rushed and incomplete and here, even if a I felt both a bit, it wasn’t too annoying and it didn’t ruin my experience with the story.
Who hasn’t ever dreamed of being the protagonist of a hot romance set in an elevator???

Well…
I have fantasized about it and I really enjoyed Laura Kaye’s “vision”.
I loved that they get to know one another and form a bond without actually knowing each other’s features because all lights in the elevator are out.
To sum it up:

Headstrong, fun and sweet heroine ✔
Emotionally scarred and super lovely hero ✔
Lots of steam ✔
“Don’t stop talking to me, Makenna. I need your words. Your voice.”
“I don’t know what to say is all. I want to take away your hurt.”
His cheek lifted into a smile under her hand. “Thank you. But sometimes I think I need it. It reminds me I’m alive. And it makes the good times that much better. Like right now, being here, with you.”
