All I Want by Jill Shalvis
My Review:
Parker has promised himself he’ll never follow the path his parents wanted for him.
Growing up he wanted more for himself than his father’s job at a mining company, he wanted to see the world.
Being a supervisor special agent for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service allows him to do exactly that but, against his early promises to himself, he’s “living to work” just like his father.
Hurt during his last mission, he’s forced by his superior to take a vacation even if the man responsible for hurting him and killing his colleague is still free.
Unable to leave it be, he decides to takes his vacation close to where the man was last located which brings him to Zoe’s door.
Zoe, is a pilot for hire and a flying teacher.
She’s taken care of her family all her life because her workaholic parents, diplomats traveling the world, aren’t the protecting/loving kind.
She had to step up and be what her 2 siblings needed her to be.
Focusing her life on them meant leaving her own needs to the side, until she finds herself with an empty nest.
Trying the blind dating scenario doesn’t work out as planned until a hotty comes knocking on her door and she decides it’s time to step out of her comfort zone and… kiss him.
→ Lovely MC, both around 30 years old with great chemistry. I loved the banter.
→ Zoe’s dog Oreo is hilarious!
→ All secondary characters are complementary to the story, I especially enjoyed Parker’s relationship with his sister with Down Syndrome that gave insight into his sweet heart.
→ A little suspense and action is thrown into the mix, Special Agent Parker DID NOT disappoint😁
→ Super sweet ending and proposal 😍
I’ll not round the rating up to 5 stars because the plot didn’t exactly blow my mind.
That said, the book definitely was entertaining, engaging and fun.
